The short answer

Most design jobs in Pakistan are posted on LinkedIn, Indeed Pakistan, Rozee.pk, and Mustakbil, plus the careers pages of product companies. Search all of them with more than one title ("UI/UX designer", "product designer", "UX designer"), because the same job hides under different names.

Then apply with a short CV, a portfolio link that opens in one click, and a two-line note that names the company's product. That last part is where most applicants lose.

My first salaried design job paid PKR 15,000 a month. In my second year of university I landed a remote UX role at easytect, a software company in Germany. Both were small, early steps, and everything after was built on them.

Where design jobs are actually posted

I checked each of these in October 2026 to confirm it carries real design listings:

WhereWhat I found
LinkedIn JobsA public "UI/UX Designer jobs in Pakistan" page showing 116 results, across Lahore, Islamabad, and other cities
Indeed PakistanUI/UX designer listings in Pakistan, including one company hiring "UI/UX and Product Designers across different experience levels"
Rozee.pkListings titled UI/UX Designer, Junior UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, and "UI/UX & Graphic Designer"
MustakbilUI/UX designer listings with posting and closing dates, plus a filter for remote jobs
Company careers pagesFor example, 10Pearls' Pakistan openings page listed a graphic design internship in Karachi

Set alerts on two of them, not five. LinkedIn plus one local board covers most of the market.

Two habits help. Search by date, not relevance, so you apply in the first few days. And keep a short list of companies you want, and check their careers pages directly, since not every company posts everywhere.

What the job titles actually mean

Pakistani job posts use titles loosely. Read the responsibilities, not the title.

  • UI/UX Designer is the most common title. It can mean anything from full product flows to social media graphics.
  • "UI/UX & Graphic Designer" usually means a small team that needs one person for everything. Fine for a first job, but check how much of the role is actual product work.
  • Product Designer usually means owning a problem end to end: research, flows, interface, and working with engineers on what ships.
  • Junior or Associate is the honest entry-level label. Apply to these first.

If a post asks for "UI/UX designer" but lists Photoshop banners and video editing, it is a graphic design job. That is not bad, just know what you are signing up for. My guide on product designer vs UI/UX designer breaks the titles down properly.

Who is paying designers

I will not give you a "top companies hiring" list, because hiring changes every month. What I can show you is where designers have reported pay. Glassdoor's Pakistan pages list company medians, monthly, as of October 2026:

CompanyRole on GlassdoorMedian monthly pay
i2cUI/UX designerPKR 185K
10PearlsUI/UX designerPKR 100K
tkxelUI/UX designerPKR 100K
MotiveProduct designerPKR 193K
Dubizzle LabsProduct designerPKR 137K

Glassdoor builds these from user reports with a statistical model, and company samples are small, so treat them as signals, not offers. For the full salary picture, read what UI/UX designers earn in Pakistan.

What your application needs

  • A one-page CV. Name, city, portfolio link, and contact at the top. Then experience, projects, tools, and education.
  • A portfolio link that works on a phone. Assume it gets opened on a phone first. Two or three deep case studies beat a grid of twenty shots. Start with my portfolio guide.
  • A short note. Two or three lines: which product you looked at, one thing you noticed, and why you fit. No "To whom it may concern."
  • Your LinkedIn, updated. Recruiters check it even when you apply elsewhere. Make your headline say what you design.
  • Availability and location. On-site, hybrid, or remote, and your notice period. Saying it upfront saves a round of messages.

How to stand out

Most applicants send the same CV and a Behance link. A few things move you to the top of the pile:

  1. Redesign one flow from their product. One screen with your reasoning is enough. It proves interest better than any cover letter.
  2. Show a result, not just a screen. "Cut signup from five steps to three" says more than a polished mockup.
  3. Message a designer at the company before or after you apply. One specific question, not "please refer me." My networking guide has the scripts.
  4. Prepare for the portfolio walkthrough before you get the call. My interviews guide covers what they ask.

If you are a student, internships are often the faster door. See internships for CS students in Pakistan.

Remote roles from Pakistan

Remote design jobs for foreign companies are a separate search with different rules: different platforms, a higher bar on written communication, and time zones. I worked for easytect in Germany from Islamabad, and nobody asked where I lived. They asked what I could do.

Start with how to get a remote job from Pakistan, and sort out how you get paid before the offer arrives.

Your next steps

  1. Set job alerts on LinkedIn and one local board for "UI/UX designer" and "product designer" in your city, plus remote.
  2. Rewrite your LinkedIn headline to say what you design, in one line.
  3. Pick one company you want to work for and redesign one flow from its product this week.
  4. Apply to five roles with a tailored two-line note each, and track replies in a simple sheet.
